Where we started

About us

Founder / Executive Director

Camryn Soria

The Founder of Silent Responder, Camryn Soria, dedicated his life to serving his home community as a fire fighter for Tucson Fire Department in Arizona. Despite finding success within his career and building a beautiful family, Camryn continued to struggle with his own physical and emotional health both within and beyond the line of duty. The “tough-minded” mentality fostered in this line of work prevented Camryn from seeking the appropriate help and resulted in internal anguish, with excessive substance abuse seeming to be his only outlet for relief. As is often the case, this led to a downward spiral, marital issues and ultimately, attempted suicide.
With the support of his friends and family, Camryn is one of the lucky few that was able to find a new purpose worth dedicating his life to. The Silent Responder not only helps First Responders & Veterans but keeps our local heroes in the line of duty so that they can continue to protect and serve their communities and our country.
