1 in 4 First Responders come from a military background. In fact, all First Responders are disproportionately impacted by physical and mental heath issues, leading to 18% higher rates of suicide compared to the general public. Sadly, First Responders are more likely to die by suicide than in the line of duty. These issues are further compounded by increased likelihood of divorce and chronic disease.
